Tell me ... are any of you reading any books that you just can't seem to put down?
The main reason for this blog is to try to document my own attempt at educating myself as an adult. I went to public school (a long time ago) and do not feel that I received a very decent education so now I am attempting to make this situation better. So far I have mainly just done a lot of reading ... mostly at about the 5th grade level to try to increase my reading ability. I am currently reading Betsy and Tacy Go Over the Big Hill, a book about Alexander the Great, A Thomas Jefferson Education, and The Secret Language. I have worked a bit in a Pre-Algebra book and a fifth grade level English text, but not recently. I really need to get back to working on those as well. I am also interested in learning Latin... mainly to help built vocabulary and such. I have yet to figure out exactly how I am going to tackle the subject of science since I had very little when I was in school.
